Trade was a main point on the agenda of the EU-India Summit on 29 September 2008 in Marseille/ France. Alongside a wide range of global and bilateral issues, the summit also reviewed the ongoing progress in Free Trade Area negotiations between the EU and India. EU trade with India has more than doubled since 2000.
